I can not say it better than Mariah Carey this year at Christmas. As Cliche as it is, "All i want for Christmas...is YOU." You my amazing family, my wonderful special friends, and You my lovely boyfriend. However, this is not possible, so here is my "Grown up Christmas list."
*Take a moment to appreciate being with those you love this christmas
*Be thankful for one thing everyday, no matter how small it is
*Think of me! Just once :)
*Remember to do every christmas eve tradition, no matter how silly and trivial it seems, it is what makes the holidays so special
*sing at least one christmas carol
*Realize how completely blessed we are
As i am a sappy, nostalgic mess at the current moment, here are my favorite christmas traditions: :)
*the first notes of the holiday classics we know in ORDER, at Thanksgiving dinner
*Dad breaking out the first box of chocolates (usually while watching Home alone, the grinch, or the infamous "Night they saved Christmas")
*TErminate, Terminate that countdown! (and knowing EVERY single word..and NOT ruining it by saying them!)
*mom's holiday goodies
*Watching Mom and Dad's faces as they watch all of their kids hanging out at home.
*Watching Mom and Dad's faces when they open their present from us kids. :)
*SQUISHING on the couches to watch the movie of the night
* Playing games and being surrounded by my family
